We have been with Peace of Mind Pet care for about two years now and we simply cannot recommend them enough! Julie and Teresa are two of the most caring, capable, responsible and reliable people we have ever met. Our pets are like our children and Julie and Teresa made it very easy for us to trust them once we saw all of the love that they put into each visit.

Julie and Teresa came into our lives when one of our beloved cats was diagnosed with cancer and only had a few months to live. We wanted the very best care for him in the time that he had remaining and they far exceeded our hopes and expectations. Teresa and Julie came to our home every day and ended each visit with a  phone call to update us. We can't begin tell you how reassuring it was to know that he was in such able and loving hands. 

After his passing we continued to use their services - feeding, playing, grooming and cuddles - for our two other cats and our dog.   Teresa also makes sure to take our dog for a walk and is working with her to walk with a leash. She has even taught our Pug to shake hands- who ever said Pugs can't learn tricks!

We give Teresa and Julie our very highest recommendation, not only for those times you need to be away but for ongoing regular visits and everything in between. You won't be disappointed - and neither will your pets!!!  In fact, sometimes we think our pets are more excited to see Julie and Teresa than they are to see us (and we spoil them like crazy )!!!  That, more than anything, should tell you everything you need to know about them. We can't think of anyone we'd trust more.

Greg and I recently moved to Fremont with our dear old cat, April.  We had 2 vacations planned and I needed to find someone to take care of April.   I saw “Peace of Mind” business cards at our veterinarian’s clinic (Mission Valley Vet Clinic) and took one with me.   I was so happy to read about Julie and her pet sitting service on the website and I contacted her.  Shortly before our vacation we set up an appt. and Julie came to our house to get to know April.  We found Julie to be a very warm, caring and sensitive young lady and April agreed!  We have put Julie to work twice recently in caring for April and both times went smoothly.  She takes the time to play with April and her catnip toys, brush her with her love glove, let her outside for a stroll in our quiet yard and of course feed her special K/D food and give her a treat.  Because April is a senior cat I am always concerned about her kidneys as well as her age.  It is assuring to know that Julie has worked in the veterinary field for 18 years so she would notice if April needed professional attention and she would be there to respond and act quickly.  We are completely happy with Julie and Peace of Mind and we will put her to work again and again.

My wife and I were considering an extended vacation to Australia. We live on a 40 acre piece of property in a remote location and have many domestic and farm animals.  We have sheep, horses, goats, a lama, dogs & cats. We knew of Julie’s 17 year hands on experience working for a veterinarian so we asked Julie if she would be interested in taking care of our pets & home while we were gone.

We left Julie specific instructions about times for feeding the farm animals and the 3 dogs & 2 cats.  Do to the distance of our trip, we made sure Julie was familiar with the different veterinarians we used for animals and also the furrier’s name for the horses.

Upon returning from our overseas trip we found that Julie had taken excellent care of all of our pets, as well as compassionately & professionally dealing with the unfortunate loss of one of our goats.  All the pets were happy & looked well cared for.

We would not hesitate to ask Julie to come to our home to care for our pets during any of our vacations.  She demonstrated responsibility, compassion & a clear understanding of how pets must be cared for. This is the “peace of mind” we needed for a relaxing vacation.

And we are not just saying this because she is our daughter!

Owning a pet sitting business is the most wonderful thing in the world, but I need a break too!  Choosing someone to come into your home & care for your “children” as well as have access to everything you have worked for your entire life can be very stressful.  You have to implicitly trust the person that you choose & feel confident & comfortable that they will be responsible, knowledgeable & compassionate with the care they give your “babies” Kathy has these pertinent qualities & more!  I know this for a fact because she cares for my pets & home while I am out of town.  I recommend Kathy for anyone who is looking for peace of mind while they are away from their pets!
