Do you love being surrounded by animals? Are you interested in being an independent contractor providing professional pet care and dog walking services?

Peace of Mind In-Home Pet Care is currently hiring independent contractors who are dedicated, responsible, flexible, dependable & common-sense oriented with excellent communications skills to provide professional pet care and dog walking services in the following locations:

Castro Valley
Dublin

Hayward
Livermore

Oakland
Pleasanton

San Leandro
San Lorenzo

While it is fun and rewarding to care for animals, that’s not all there is to being a professional pet care provider. You must be mentally and physically able to handle a myriad of unforeseen issues that can arise when you are responsible for people’s four-legged children and their homes.

Peace of Mind looks for particular traits and characteristics in our professional pet care providers to ensure they can handle the stresses that often accompany providing pet care.

Qualifications

As an independent contractor providing professional pet care and dog walking services with Peace of Mind In-home Pet Care (POM) you must:

be responsible, self-directed, dedicated, and dependable.
have excellent communication skills.
be willing to conduct Meet & Greet interviews with new clients to determine their pet care needs.
be willing to assist clients in the completion of required paperwork before starting pet care.
have a flexible, or otherwise modify, your schedule to accommodate the needs of the client with short notice.
be able to plan for unforeseen changes in weather.
handle all emergencies with care and grace.
clean up pet messes in addition to your other pet care tasks.
be able to confidently, clearly, and regularly communicate with POM’s owner, other POM pet care providers, and POM clients via text, phone, or email.
complete, retain and forward copies to POM of invoices for each pet care job on time.
maintain records of your pet care jobs and submit those job reports to POM on a regular basis.
